Dr. Antonia J. Barnes, MD, FRCPC, MBA

Endocrinology

Dr. Antonia Barnes is a specialist in Endocrinology and co-founder of the Edmonton Diabetes & High Risk Foot Clinic. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Alberta in 2015, where she also completed her residency in Internal Medicine in 2018. She then pursued a fellowship in Endocrinology & Metabolism, which she completed in 2020, also at the University of Alberta.

With a special interest in diabetes and the management of diabetes during pregnancy, as well as diabetic foot care, Dr. Barnes has dedicated her career to improving the lives of patients with diabetes. Her extensive knowledge and expertise in these areas have helped her patients achieve better outcomes and manage their conditions more effectively.

As a member of the clinical faculty of the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Alberta, Dr. Barnes is committed to sharing her knowledge and expertise with future generations of physicians. She also works as an attending physician in Internal Medicine at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital, where she provides compassionate and high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs.
