Dr. Daniel Shafran, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Daniel Shafran is a specialist in Internal Medicine and co-founder of the Edmonton Diabetes & High Risk Foot Clinic. He is an alumnus of the University of Calgary, where he completed his medical degree in 2012. After finishing his residency at the University of Toronto in 2015, Dr. Shafran returned to his hometown to pursue a fellowship at the University of Alberta, which he completed in 2017.

From 2017 to 2023, Dr. Shafran worked at the Baker Clinic. Since 2018, he has been a Staff Physician at the Royal Alexandra Hospital's Diabetic Foot Clinic, where he focuses on treating patients with high-risk foot complications such as diabetic foot ulcers.

Dr. Shafran is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the University of Alberta and an Attending Physician on the Internal Medicine service at the Misericordia Hospital. He is also a frequent speaker for local medical groups and regularly shares his expertise with other physicians on the latest advancements in diabetes management.

Dr. Shafran is deeply committed to helping his patients avoid complications of diabetes, including diabetic foot ulcers and amputations. His patients appreciate his compassion, knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond to help them manage their conditions.
